What Altar of Souls offers fans of fantasy, horror, and comic games

Altar of Souls is a fantasy slot game set in a dark temple. The cartoon graphics, blue flames, and gentle soundtrack downplay the scare factor of this horror slot.

The 7x7 game grid features low-value symbols: black-and-white crossed bones. They fill most of the screen. The higher-value symbols include a cross, a skull, a silver cup, a sword, and a candle.

The blue soul is the wild symbol, and it can trigger many ways to win when it lands scattered across the reels. Other special symbols you’ll spot include a purple book, a jar of souls, and soul wilds in different colours.

How the bonus features work in Altar of Souls

Discover the bonus games and special symbols that are available when playing this online slot.

Altar Boost

This feature can be triggered randomly before a Sacrifice Spin. It can add a random number of souls between 5 and 50 to the grid.

Soul Counter

The Soul Counter collects every soul that is removed from the game board. When it reaches a milestone, an Altar Stage is unlocked.

Altar Stages

There are five stages that can be unlocked as souls are collected by the Soul Counter.

1. Double Souls: Unlocks with 5 souls. It doubles the current number of souls collected.

2. Multiplier Insanity: Unlocks with 20 souls. All new Soul Wilds are purple and have a 2x multiplier.

3. Giga: Unlocks with 30 souls. Soul Wilds can upgrade to 2x2 in size.

4. Sacrifice: Unlocks with 40 souls. All new Soul Wilds are red and have a multiplier of 5x.

5. Overfilled: Unlocks with 50 souls. It doubles the current number of souls collected.

Special Symbols

The special symbols can trigger different rewards and effects when they land.

Book symbols reveal a random multiplier between 1x and 50. The multiplier is added to every Soul Wild on the board.

Jar symbols count as wilds, and when the jar is broken, a random number of souls will appear. This can range from 2 to 10.

Giga Jar symbols are 2x2 wilds that can release between 10 and 20 souls onto the board.

Soul Wild symbols add 1 to the Soul Counter when they're removed from the board. Landing 49 of these wilds on the grid will pay out 100x your bet.

Purple Soul Wild symbols use the same game rules as Soul Wilds. They are unlocked with a 2x multiplier.

Red Soul Wild symbols use the same rules as Soul Wilds. They have multipliers of 5x when unlocked.

Giga Soul Wild symbols are 2x2 and can be either red or purple with the appropriate multiplier attached.

Sacrifice Spin

If there is no winning combination on the reels, and at least 1 Altar Stage has been reached, this feature will trigger. Every collected Soul is spawned onto the board.

If there is already a wild in the position where the Soul lands, a multiplier is added. Or it can transform into a Giga Soul Wild.
